Since 2007 the Albury DJ Entertainment team have been at the forefront of providing some of the best music and entertainment in Albury-Wodonga, North East Victoria and Southern NSW. Our DJ entertainment services are more than just music & have helped 1000s of people create and share some of the greatest party and event experiences. Everything that we do is about providing a great experience for our clients and their guests.

We are a fresh, fun and exciting entertainment business, backed by an experienced team of professional, experienced & fun DJs & MCs. We provide a flexible approach to DJ entertainment and have what it takes to create a successful function. We can MC and host any type of function including weddings and corporate events. Our ultimate goal is for you and your guests to have the greatest time possible. This is not a hobby, we ensure our team are always available to help you plan your event and ensure success.

1000+ events

Since 2007 Albury DJ has provided entertainment at over 1000 events. Our founder is Jono Toohey; who has over 16 years experience in the entertainment industry. We have a professional team of DJs who share a passion for providing entertainment and hold themselves to the highest standards at every function. Our team’s combined experience ensures your event is above your expectations time and time again. Our team includes Brenden, Chris, Jamie & Jono. Albury DJ Entertainment provide entertainment at over 80 weddings per year as well as private parties and corporate events.

Personalised events

Since our launch early 2007, we have provided professional entertainment, with our experienced team focusing on providing you with customised entertainment to suit your specific preferences, supplying experienced DJs who can interact with you and your guests and ensuring people hear the music they want played. We have different packages to suit your function, allowing for longer or shorter events and the ability to customise everything.

Jono Toohey

Owner & Manager of Albury DJ Entertainment. Jono began DJing in 1999, and now with over 18 years experience can provide the highest quality of DJ entertainment and professionalism available for your function. Jono specialises in wedding entertainment and corporate events and also has an extensive background in trivia and event hosting, acting as master or ceremonies, youth events, nightclubs, celebrations and corporate events. Jono is a fun and experienced wedding MC, very experienced DJ and is extremely organised to ensure your event runs to plan. Jono has limited availability from 2017 onwards. Jono plays for the crowd, working hard to ensure requests are played and interacting with guests to create a fun atmosphere. Jono goes over and above for every client and will do whatever it takes to exceed your expectation on a DJ entertainer. In early 2012 Jono completed further master of ceremonies and personalisation training, learning the art of personalised wedding introductions and can provide the most unique personalised moments and formalities at a wedding reception. Jono can also act as your exclusive wedding master of ceremonies working along side another of our DJs with our exclusive two DJ package.


2IC of Albury DJ Entertainment.  Brenden joined the team in early 2012 and already having extensive music knowledge and prior training made Brenden an ideal team member. Brenden is a very experienced wedding MC and wedding DJ and conducted very thorough training as an assistant to Jono. Brenden knows his party music, pub rock and is up to date with top 40 and loved to interact with the crowd. Brenden is a very organised person who comes well prepared to events. Brenden has a high level of attention to detail and always looks to do something more to add value, including his setup and taking some fun photos throughout the night. He is easy to get along with and happy to mingle with guests and make them feel welcome to make requests.  Brenden’s role has expanded with us and is now our second in charge (2IC). Brenden will be an asset at any event.


Before joining Albury DJ Entertainment, Chris provided entertainment at events and parties for friends for a number of years. In early 2011 Chris joined and has worked most weekends at a variety of functions including weddings, corporate events, engagement parties and birthdays. He is an easy going people person who manages easily to get along with guests at each event. Chris has a passion for entertainment and continues learning new ways to provide high quality entertainment. Chris knows his party anthems and also has a passion for triple J and alternative music as well as being into new music and house classics. For clients looking for someone who is not obtrusive on the microphone but can interact where necessary and make guests feel welcome Chris is a great choice. He is also very organised, has great attention to detail and prepares well for events.


Jamie began DJing in 1996 and now has over 20 years experience in the DJ industry and joined the Albury DJ team in 2008. 2017 will be Jamie’s last year as a wedding entertainer. Jamie has had a wide variety of experience including mobile DJ entertainment, resident DJ at many local establishments and as a wedding MC & DJ. Jamie is very interactive and fun and will happily lead your guests in a group dance and use the microphone where needed to encourage participation. Jamie has an exceptional music knowledge covering many genres including party classics, urban/rnb, top 40 and everything in between. He is also very creative with his music selection and will keep guests guessing what the next song will be. Jamie’s extensive experience will ensure a very smooth event and can provide advice and ideas leading up to your wedding or event. Jamie is well suited to clients looking for a DJ to be active throughout the event, involve the guests and interact with everyone.

We provide interactive DJs who play the requests and music the students want to hear and we will get involved to ensure a fun event. We can create custom themes and dress up to fit your theme. No disco is too short or too long and we provide a great sound and light show that everyone will love.


We are an agent for Quizmeisters trivia, Australia’s most vibrant, exciting, and interactive trivia experience. Our DJs have had years experience in every sort of function you can imagine. With that level of experience we will make sure your function is a success and that everything goes to plan. We realise the importance of every function and that our client’s tastes do differ so we can accommodate for that and play exactly the sort of music you want to hear. We are always happy to play your guests requests and can place request cards on tables.

An extensive music collection

To make sure your guests are catered for we carry our entire collection at every event giving us the highest possibility of having that favourite request. Our collection includes music from the 50′s through to current music, with over 10,000 songs we can cater for everyone. Just to make sure we have everything we get together before the event to discuss your music preferences and can get your top 30 song choices. You can use our online music database to select your do and don’t playlist.

Personalised customer service

From the first phone call we want you to feel like you are being taken care of. We care about our clients and are always available to help you plan the perfect nights entertainment. Being a smaller company gives us the advantage of getting to know our cleints and their tastes. We supply lighting for every function and can customise it if required. We also supply a cordless microphone for your speeches or provide additional equipment upon request.
